Hoax

You think you can intimidate me

with curses and hyperboles?

Darling, you don't know what I've been through

trying to get next to you.

So, now I am proud of myself

and the quantum leap I have lept

to get to the next level

of this ever evolving, revolving vestibule

-the waiting room-

for whats beyond Jupiter's moons.

Your malicious deception

doesn't make sense to anyone

but I understood the task:

build a mask

and stay alone.

To keep guard from the doom.

Make them believe

theres nothing left between

you and me

and they'll forget who's King and Queen.

Their smoking guns

point to someone

who's usurped the throne.

Now you and me

we can live in peace.

I wait for the day

I hear you say

"draw the curtains back"

to expose the facts

and the past can become the past.

been listening to a lot of Folklore by Taylor Swift. Definitely her best album imo. "Hoax" is one of my favorite songs on the album. I wrote a little poem about the same situation from my perspective.
